First round of voting confirms flight to quality, green on the rise
More than 300 award entries were processed by the jury in the first round of judging for the 2010 CEEQA awards.

A gradual pick up in transactions, increased green building momentum and signs the development pipeline is starting to flow once more are the main themes among entries for this year's CEEQA awards. However the clearest imprint on the market is the extent to which the economic downturn did what it promised, concentrating what little money there was available on higher quality projects by larger and more experienced developers.
The winners of the awards for business performance and achievement in 2010, organised by CEE Insight Forum in association with the Financial Times, will be announced at the eighth annual CEEQA Gala & Industry Awards for emerging European real estate on 1st March at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel. The black tie ceremony and dinner, which sold out early this year, will be attended by more than 500 business leaders from more than 30 countries.
This year's event will be hosted for the fourth time in a row by ever popular Polish television Monika Richardson and, with one of the strongest entertainment line ups ever, promises to be one to remember. The event is firmly established as sector's most important annual gathering and networking event, and one of the most in-demand real estate business events in Europe.

Carl Panattoni to receive Lifetime Achievement Award
Carl Panattoni, the founder, owner and Chairman of Panattoni Development Company and numerous business entities under the Panattoni brand, including Panattoni Construction and Panattoni Europe, will attend this year's CEEQA Gala & Industry Awards to receive the 2011 CEEQA award for Lifetime Achievement in Real Estate.
The award, sponsored by the Financial Times, will be presented at the annual CEEQA industry awards gala at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel on 1st March. It is given each year to an inspirational industry leader who has made a significant and durable contribution to the real estate business and to the emerging Europe real estate investment sector. Walking on sunshine: Katrina to make waves

Katrina Leskanich is the singer of the ultimate feel good song Walking on Sunshine and best known to world as front woman of KATRINA & THE WAVES heads an outstanding array of entertainment at this year's CEEQA Gala. Through the 80s and 90s the band released ten albums and a string of chart hits on both sides of the Atlantic, receiving a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 1986. The band were also winners of Eurovision in 1997 with Love Shine a Light. In recent years Katrina has also released three solo albums and continues to record new material and play live across Europe.
The entertainment line up also includes rising Polish stars SheMoans, recent Poland's Got Talent finalists Me Myself and I, UK blues sensation Errol Linton and Hanka Veselaar, European pole dance champion.

8TH ANNUAL CEEQA GALA IN PICTURES
7TH CEEQA GALA DINNER & AWARDS CEREMONY: Nearly 600 business leaders from 38 countries attended the 7th annual CEEQA Gala at the Warsaw Royal Castle Kubicki Arcades on 3rd March. The success of the event underlined the underlying momentum of the CEE property sector and raising hopes of a return to business in 2010.
7TH CEEQA GALA IN PICTURES
The 7th CEEQA programme commenced with a CEE Insight Forum event on 21st October ‘Through the Looking Glass’ discussing the new shapes and patterns in the post-crisis CEE market place and launch of the 2009 awards, presented by Polish TV presenter Monika Richardson and CEE Insight Forum director Richard Hallward.
The 6th annual CEE Quality Awards Gala in February 2009, presenting awards for performance and achievement in in Central & Eastern European real estate in 2008, provided some benchmark victories and a few surprises in the award categories. Television presenter Monika Richardson hosted the awards ceremony among a stellar line up of entertainment through the evening including exceptional performances by 80s legends Bananarama, young Polish stars Aufiofeels and contact juggler Kamil Dzilinski "Dzielny"
The CEE Insight Forum event preceding the awards gala (TROPICAL STORM2: Global economic crisis and the CEE property markets) attracted more than 150 guests, regional investors, developers, financiers and consultants were joined by Anatoli Annenkov (EBRD) and Jan Cienski (Financial Times) in a powerful debate on challenges and opportunities for the market chaired by George Leslie (KPMG).
