The integrity of the judging procedure and results of the awards is highly regarded internationally and vital to the market value and profile of CEEQA.

Each year a panel of 36 of the most experienced and influential business leaders is elected, representing market leading companies active in development, investment, finance, construction services and consulting across the CEE & SEE region country markets. Members of the jury panel are invited to assess award submissions to decide the awards short list, and eventual winners, in 23 award categories.

The role is rotated fairly each year among senior representatives of marketing leading operators, and are selected through a process accounting for proportionate geographical, segmental and market force balance across 18 qualifying countries within Central & Eastern Europe and Southeast Europe. Providing extensive industry experience and CEE & SEE market knowledge as well as distribution fairness.

Independence

Decisions are exclusively made by the elected members of the jury with no possibility of interference or intervention by the organiser or participants. All aspects of the entry and judging process are closely supervised by globally trusted consulting firm PwC.

    • Agata Sekula, Board Member, Investment and Asset Management, EPP

      Agata is one of the foremost experts in the CEE region with over 25 years of investment advisory experience in the retail sector. Prior to joining EPP, her impressive 23-year tenure at JLL was marked by a notable track record in successfully managing sales and acquisitions of retail properties in the CEE region, with transactions totaling over EUR 13.5 billion.

      Agata’s noteworthy contributions include advising on major transactions, such as Chariot and Atrium portfolios, as well as prominent shopping centres like Galeria Katowicka, Silesia City Center, Manufaktura, Stary Browar, Magnolia Park and Promenada.

      A graduate of the Law and Administration faculty at the University of Warsaw, she also holds a property valuation diploma from the Warsaw University of Technology.  Additionally, Agata possesses certificates in Advanced Property Investment Appraisal, Advanced Property Finance and Funding, and Advanced Portfolio Management obtained from the Investment Property Forum Advanced Education Programme in London.

    • Agnieszka Stankiewicz, Real Estate Partner, Greenberg Traurig

      Agnieszka co-chairs the Greenberg Traurig’s Real Estate Department in Poland. She has almost 20 years of experience in corporate finance and real estate transactions. Her practice focuses on assisting a variety of foreign and domestic investors in mergers, takeovers, joint ventures, corporate and organizational restructuring, acquisitions and divestments of real estate or real estate holding companies, the financing and refinancing of real estate acquisitions, forward purchase and leaseback transactions, all aspects of real estate development projects as well as the due diligence of companies and assets and the restructuring of their financial indebtedness.

      Agnieszka has been recognized as one of the leading lawyers in Poland in various legal directories including Chambers Europe and EMEA Legal 500. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at Warsaw University, qualifying as an advocate in 2001.

    • Anna Chubotina, CEO, Arricano

      Anna has more than 20 years track record in commercial real estate management and business development with strong local expertise based on collaboration with international and local developers, investors and retailers. In Anna’s portfolio are one of the major shopping centers in Ukraine where she contributed on concept development, leasing and property management. Prior to joining Arricano, one of the leading real estate developers of shopping centres in Ukraine with European investments, Anna worked for JLL more than 9 years as a leasing and associate director with vast local and international expertise and more than 6 years for the leading Ukrainian chain for house and interior. In five of her past eight years with Arricano she has held the position of CEO responsible for company strategy and development. Anna has a master’s degree in economics and marketing, a master’s degree in Romano-Germanic languages and word literature.

    • Bryan Wilson, Head of CEE, Dual Asset

      After a successful legal career spanning more than 27 years as a real estate lawyer with the like of Mills & Reeve (Cambridge), Linklaters (London and Prague) and most recently as managing partner of Wilsons law firm, Bryan has changed direction and is now Head of CEE and Head of European Business Development for Dual Asset. Once a client of Bryan’s, Dual Asset is the largest Managing General Agent (MGA) outside of the US and is a leading provider of transactional risk insurance across Europe, providing insurance on many of the most high profile transactions and helping banks and insolvency and bankruptcy trustees dealing with the sales of distressed assets.

    • Charles Taylor MRICS, Advisor to the Board & Shareholder, Bracken Consulting

      Charles moved to Central Europe in 1998, residing initially in Budapest and then Warsaw. He is regarded as one of the region’s leading commercial real estate experts. As Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield in both Hungary and Poland, Charles was responsible for the substantial growth and financial success of these businesses including the successful merger of DTZ and C&W in Poland, creating a market leading real estate consultancy, employing over 440 people.

      Charles has been instrumental in developing the region’s investment markets since the first institutional capital was deployed back in the early 2000’s. Transacting in the core markets of CE plus Croatia and across all commercial sectors, he has worked with a broad spectrum of clients including DWS, Union Investment, Skanska, Ghelamco, Heitman, Invesco, CBRE IM, Griffin Capital Partners and Credit Suisse. He advised Wing on the successful acquisition of a majority stake in the leading Polish developer Echo Investment and Charles remains a key advocate for the region’s continued success, especially Poland.

      Recently, Charles has been advisor to the Board and Shareholder of iO Partners – a JLL Preferred Partner, with 250 people and offices in Czech, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Serbia. Through Bracken Consulting Ltd, Charles continues to work with select investors targeting Poland.

    • Chris Zeuner, Chief Investment Office & Member of the Board, 7R

      Chris serves as a Chief Investment Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of 7R. His duties include ensuring the group is sufficiently capitalized to implement its growth strategy in all target markets, including Poland, Czech and Germany. His relationship with 7R started in 2019, when he became a non-executive director of 7R S.A. advising the shareholders.  His relationship with 7R was further strengthened when Chris has started working for 7R full time in January 2021.

      Chris has 24 years’ experience in real estate, having restructured businesses and completed transactions across Europe. Prior to joining 7R, Chris was Head of Europe at Amstar, where he managed a portfolio of over EUR 400 million AUM and had P&L responsibility of and oversaw several offices, operating companies and a team of 40 people. Chris has also had leadership positions for blue-chip private equity real estate investors i.e., LaSalle Investment Management, JER Partners and GE Real Estate. He has experience in establishing offices, capital raising, closing transactions, managing multidisciplinary teams and businesses across various locations. He has closed in excess of EUR 3 billion of transactions ranging from direct acquisitions, indirect investments, multiple development JV’s and corporate M&A of ongoing business concerns.

      Chris previously served as an RICS APC assessor and is approved to perform controlled functions by the Financial Conduct Authority (London). He is passionate about endurance motor racing, swimming and private investment.

    • Corrado Manzai, Senior M&A Underwriter, First European Title Insurance Company Limited

      Corrado is a Senior Underwriter with over 10 years’ experience in the M&A sector, and is responsible for the underwriting of real estate M&A transactions across the European continent for First European, a specialist title insurance company forming part of the First American Financial Corporation (NYSE: FAF) group.

    • Csaba Zeley, Managing Director, ConvergenCE

      Csaba Zeley, the managing director of the Budapest based investor and developer ConvergenCE has over 20 years of real estate experience. Having worked for international property advisors Colliers, Equis and CBRE before joining ConvergenCE in 2008, he has seen many sides of the property industry and has taken part in various projects. Since his arrival he has been instrumental in managing the real estate assets and the business operations of ConvergenCE. Beside its in-house investment and development businesses the company provides boutique asset, property, facility and project management services to select international building owners in Budapest.

    • Dieter V. Knittel, Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Finance International Clients CEE, Pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank

      Dieter Knittel is Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Finance International Clients CEE at pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank. Dieter is responsible for the bank’s lending portfolio in the region. The regional focus is on Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. Dieter has been active in the CEE market for more than twenty years, including five years based in Warsaw as Head of Credit and Senior Risk Management.

    • Emil Holub, Partner, Head of Real Estate Practice CEE, Clifford Chance

      Emil is the head of Prague’s real estate practice and is widely recognised as one of the top real estate lawyers in the Czech Republic. His extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law includes specialisation in real estate M&A and development projects in both the Czech Republic and the CEE region.

      Emil completed his post-graduate studies in International Trade Law at the TMC Asser Institute in The Hague in 1995 and joined the Prague office of Clifford Chance the same year. He has extensive experience of a wide range of corporate and real estate transactions and specialises in real estate investment and transactional work.

    • Eva Boehler MRICS, Director CEE Real Estate Financing, UniCredit

      Eva has over 20 years of experience in real estate financing. She spent seven years covering the Hungarian market where she partnered with well known international developers and investors to execute large deals. Upon her relocation to Vienna, Eva worked on various significant CEE and SEE projects covered by the UniCredit Group, including Turkey, Russia, Ukraine. She has extensive experience with a broad range of real estate financing transactions. Eva graduated with an MsC from the prestigious Corvinus University in Budapest.

    • Ewa Parys, Executive Director & Head of Asset Management CEE & Nordics, AEW

      Ewa has 25 years of vast experience in the different sectors of real estate. She worked as a property director, head of leasing, head of asset management for Central Europe, COO Poland and fund manager. Working for AEW for more than 9 years she currently heads the asset management department responsible for CEE and Nordics. Prior to joining AEW in 2014, Ewa worked at Atrium Real Estate Management, Manhattan Real Estate Management, Foras and Steen&StrØm in Poland. Ewa holds a master degree of Political Science, a Diploma in Marketing by Chartered Institute of Marketing. She is also a certified property and leasing manager.

    • Guenther Artner, Head of Group Commercial Real Estate, Erste Group

      Guenther, CFA, has been working for Erste Group in various management functions in equity research since June 2000, responsible for more than 170 companies in Austria and the CEE region with a personal focus on the real estate sector. From March 2015 onwards, Mr. Artner was heading the Equity Capital Markets and from 2017 onwards also the Corporate DCM teams at Erste Group. In July 2022 Mr. Artner was appointed as Head of Group Commercial Real Estate at Erste Group. In addition to the Master degree from the Vienna University of Business Administration and Economics, Mr. Artner holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) degree. Before joining Erste Group in 2000, Mr. Artner worked for 5 years in the M&A/Corporate Finance department of CA IB Investmentbank AG.

    • Hadley Dean, Founder, MDC²

      Hadley has been successfully operating in Poland for over 20 years where he is recognised for growing businesses and consistently outperforming the market place.

      Before establishing MDC² he used to hold the role of the founding CEO of EPP – the largest owner of shopping centres in Poland (EUR 2.6bn of GAV). Prior to EPP he was a Managing Partner for Eastern Europe for Colliers International where he built the best logistics and industrial space agency business in Central and Eastern Europe.

      In 2021 Hadley was the recipient of the prestigious CEEQA Lifetime Achievement in Real Estate award.

    • Hubert Manturzyk, General Manager CEE, Aareal Bank

      Hubert has over 23 years of experience in banking with a focus on commercial property in CEE and corporate financing, including 4 years of management of the bank operations in Poland. In his career he has been involved in financing of various asset classes with reputable local and international investors and developers. Last years have been very successful for Hubert and his fantastic team in new business origination in CEE.

    • Ioana Niculeasa, Head of Real Estate, NNDKP

      Ioana is the head of the real estate team of NNDKP, one of the leading law firms in Romania.

      With 23 years of experience in the industry, Ioana established herself as a prominent figure in the Romanian real estate legal services market. She has assisted investment funds, corporate investors and financial institutions in projects that have shaped the Romanian and SEE real estate landscape. She has extensive expertise in all types of projects, from office buildings and shopping centres, residential, logistic, and industrial real estate projects to handling concession agreements, public-private real estate partnerships and agricultural investments. Additionally, Ioana advises clients on private sales and acquisitions, complex lease agreements, as well as construction contracts (governed by domestic legislation as well as FIDIC or FIDIC-based agreements).

      Ioana has been consistently recognized as a leading practitioner in the real estate industry by the international legal guides Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500.

    • Jonathan Hallett MRICS, Executive Partner, Head of Central & Eastern Europe, Cushman & Wakefield

      As Head of Central & Eastern Europe, Jonathan oversees Cushman & Wakefield’s operations across the region, with over 1100 staff in six countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Russia and Turkey) and Cushman & Wakefield Alliance partners in a further nine countries across the CEE region.

      Jonathan is a European Executive Committee Member of Cushman & Wakefield and the Managing Partner of Cushman & Wakefield in the Czech Republic. He is a member of the RICS, IBF Board Member (International Business Forum), and BGMC Board Member.

    • Kinga Nowakowska, COO & Member of the Board, Capital Park Group

      Since 2007, she has been associated with the Capital Park Group, where she is a member of the management board and the operational director. She is involved in the largest projects carried out by the Group, including Royal Wilanów. Since 2009, she has been responsible for the implementation of the prestigious revitalization project of Norblin Factory in Warsaw.

      Kinga Nowakowska is responsible for managing the company’s asset management department. She is the author of the Biuro Plus concept, according to which individual solutions are implemented in each of the Capital Park Group’s projects to support the needs of tenants. The idea is  based on high-quality architecture, ecology and sustainable development, greenery and quality of the surroundings, promotion of sport and physical activity, art and culture in common spaces, a wide range of services and a creative approach to asset management. She founded and runs the business angels network – Black Swan Fund – investing in start-ups managed by women. He is a board member there. She invests in start-ups from various industries. One of her most interesting investments is BioBazar – the first organic, certified food market in Poland – which has been operating on the Warsaw market for 13 years.

      For 11 years, beginning in 1997, Kinga Nowakowska was Chief Executive Officer of Call Center Poland, which under her leadership became one of the largest multi-language customer service outsourcing hubs in Europe, successfully sold in 2007. Graduate of International Business Law at the Sorbonne Law School.
    • Kristof Barany CFA, Managing Director, Adventum Group

      Founding Partner of Adventum Investment Fund Management Ltd., Adventum International Ltd. and GRW Invest Ltd. Kristof has gained 15+ years of experience in real estate at numerous fund managers, and his expertise in venture capital at Flashpoint Venture Capital, SmartWareTech and other VC Funds. He has outstanding structuring and financing expertise with exceptional acquisition, management and exit experience regarding the institutional real estate market in the CEE region. His attention is currently dedicated to Adventum Group.

      Kristof has a master’s degree in economics (2004, Budapest University of Economics) and he is also a CFA Charter holder (2009, CFA Institute). Being fond of numbers and calculus runs in the family: his father is a renowned mathematician, Imre BÁRÁNY – member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

    • Krzysztof Misiak MRICS, Head of Poland, Executive Partner, Cushman & Wakefield

      Krzysztof has worked for global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield for 15 years. He was appointed Head of Regional Cities in the Office Agency team in 2012 and successfully launched the Cushman & Wakefield brand in Poland’s core regional markets. In 2018, he became Head of the Office Agency. In April 2020, he took on the role of Head of Cushman & Wakefield Poland. One of the best-known professionals in the Polish commercial real estate market, Krzysztof has acted on close to 400 leases for more than 700,000 sq m.

      Despite market challenges during the pandemic, his strategic decisions helped to maintain and improve business profitability. With his energy and innovative management approach, he inspires not only clients and partners, but also his employees whom he treats as equals irrespective of their position within the organisation. He takes other people’s opinions seriously, but he has a clear vision of the future he would like to materialize shortly to bring a brand new quality to the Polish commercial property market.

    • Lukas Hejduk, Partner & Head of CEE Real Estate, CMS

      Lukáš Hejduk is a partner and Head of Real Estate, CEE in CMS. He advises on all aspects of real estate mandates including real estate M&A, construction projects, development, leasing, sale and lease-back transactions or greenfield investments. He specialises in complex property transaction and has extensive experience of acting for funds, private investors, developers, insurance providers and banks.

      Additionally, Lukáš heads the CEE Hotel & Leisure practice and advises on sector specific matters such as hotel management agreements.

    • Magdalena Bartkiewicz-Podoba, CEO Poland, Liebrecht & wooD

      Magdalena has been with Liebrecht & wooD in Poland since 1998 and held significant positions in the company’s structures. In her 25 years of work in Liebrecht & wooD Group she created and managed the Legal Department and since 2002 she co-managed daily operations of Liebrecht & wooD as a Management Board member, a partner and a shareholder. From 2010 to 2015, Magdalena served as the company’s General Counsel with responsibility for major transactions and overseeing the Group’s legal services in the CEE region. Since 2018, Magdalena Bartkiewicz-Podoba has been CEO of Liebrecht & wooD in Poland. She manages a team of more than 70 people, overseeing the development of new projects as well as the management of existing buildings portfolio.

      Magdalena Bartkiewicz-Podoba graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw as well as the British and European Law studies run by Cambridge University in cooperation with the University of Warsaw. She is a qualified attorney-at-law. She is a Harvard Business School Alumna (GMP, Executive Education). Magdalena completed also postgraduate studies in negotiation & mediation at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and History of Art at the Polish Academy of Sciences. She is a mother of three daughters.

    • Maksym Gavryushyn, Chief Operating Officer, Budhouse Group

      Mr. Gavryushyn started his professional career in 1998 working on various projects in marketing and sociological research. Since 2003 Mr. Gavryushyn concentrated on numerous consulting projects with focus on Ukrainian real estate market. Over his career in the real estate industry, Mr. Gavryushyn has been involved in a wide range of real estate activities including project management, research, marketing, consulting, property management, leasing, site acquisition and development. He has worked in various fields of real estate including residential, hotels, offices and shopping centers.

      In the year 2004 he joined Ukrainian Trade Guild, a leading Ukrainian real estate consulting and brokerage firm, where he held a position of Head of Research, Marketing and Strategic Consulting Department. During 2004-2009 he has obtained substantial experience of conducting more than 430 researches and development of more than 230 projects of residential and commercial properties in Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Georgia. He also continued his education in ICSC School for professional development in 2007-2008.

      Since 2009 Mr. Gavryushyn is the Chief operating officer of Budhouse Group, leading Ukrainian investment and development company. He is responsible for development, marketing and research, leasing, property, facility and asset management of BHG properties.  In 2015-2020 Mr. Gavryushyn also holds a position of Chair of the ICSC Ukrainian National Committee. . As of 2020, he has taken over as Head of the Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers (UCSC).

      In 2017, 2018 and 2020, Maxim Gavryushin was named Person of the Year by the Retail & Development Business Awards.

    • Mariusz Frackiewicz, Director Poland, Avestus Real Estate

      Mariusz has worked in Avestus Real Estate since 2006. Initially, he was responsible for coordinating the financing of development projects of the company, and since 2011 also for Avestus operating activity in Poland. Currently, his responsibilities include development of real estate projects, as well as coordinating the activities of property management implemented on behalf of external property owners.

      Previously associated with ING Group, where he was responsible for corporate banking at ING Bank  N.V., eventually, in ING Lease Poland, where he worked as Deputy Director, Structured Leasing Services, CEE. Mariusz has a degree in Finance & Banking from the University of Lodz.

    • Natali Cooper, Managing Director, Head of Portfolio and Asset Management & ESG, GLP

      Real estate executive with over 20 years of real estate experience in managing investments. Strong track record in acquisitions of retail, office and logistics properties in Europe. Extensive expertise in managing cross-border real estate investments, creation of de novo operating entities, delivery of strategic asset management plans, sourcing financings and documentation. Extensive experience in fund management from fund’s set-up and liquidation, strategic decision, equity raising and interaction with global institutional investors. Lead on formulating ESG policies and implementation throughout the investment and asset management cycles.

    • Pavel Pelikan, Executive Director, J&T Real Estate

      Pavel Pelikan graduated from the Construction Faculty of Slovak Technical University (Bratislava) in 1995. During his studies, he worked for suppliers of construction projects and products. In February 2000 he moved to the investor side of the construction and real estate industry, becoming project manager at J&T Real Estate. In 2001 he became technical director, and since 2005 has been J&T Real Estate‘s executive director and deputy chairman of the board.

    • Pavel Streblov MRICS, Head of Business Development, Penta Real Estate

      Pavel Streblov is Commercial Business Director in Penta Real Estate CZ with responsibility for commercial projects in Prague. He was in charge of the Waltrovka, Churchill and Smichoff projects  and develops a future project pipeline of 250ths sqm. He holds degrees from Charles University and LSE and is also active as university lecturer.

    • Peter Morris, Owner & Managing Director, Gage Partners

      Peter has developed and acquired over 200 million Euros worth of real estate in Estonia, Lithuania, Czechia and Portugal.

      Through its subsidiary Golden Visa Property Investment, Gage Partners is investing in and developing Portuguese properties to be sold to foreigners seeking to benefit from Portugal’s unique visa and personal tax incentive programs, as well as Portugal’s surge in popularity as a tourism destination.

      The most recent investments are the five star Lumiares Hotel and Spa in Bairro Alto neighbourhood of Lisbon, and the five star Vintage Lisboa Hotel, as well as a handful of 18th and 19th century residential properties in Lisbon under redevelopment as apartment buildings.

      Gage Partners owns retail real estate in the Baltic States, including Sikupilli Shopping Center in Tallinn. Gage Partners sold NØRDIKA Shopping Valley in Vilnius in 2016.

      Peter managed Ober-Haus Real Estate Advisors in four countries from the company start-up in 1994 through its sale in June 2007. At the time of its sale, Ober-Haus Real Estate Advisors was the largest property brokerage and advisory firm in Central and Eastern Europe with more than 35 offices and 350 real estate professionals in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland, offering asset acquisition and disposal, property valuations, property asset

    • Piotr Gozdziewicz MRICS, Head of Transactions CEE, Cromwell Property Group

      Piotr Goździewicz is responsible for investment transactions and strategies of Cromwell Property Group and its capital partners across Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, working on acquisitions, disposals and new equity opportunities.

      Piotr has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate investment and finance industry. Before joining Cromwell, he spent over eight years with BNP Paribas Real Estate in Poland where he was a director in the capital markets division working across all real estate asset classes in Poland and other CEE countries. Previous roles included director level appointments at ING and as an associate director and analyst at Citigroup (part of the London-based CEMEA team), where he specialised in structured finance transactions in the Polish transportation and real estate sectors.

      Piotr has a PhD in Economics, specialising in Mergers & Acquisitions (2006) and a Master’s Degree in Finance and Banking (2000), both from the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2015 Piotr became member of RICS.

    • Przemek Oleksy, Managing Director Poland , ASB Group

      Przemek leads ASB Group’s Polish office in Warsaw, is a distinguished professional with a remarkable career spanning over 24 years. His expertise primarily lies in leading tax and accounting teams that specialize in servicing real estate investors in CEE, a role he has excelled in for the last 16 years. In his position, Przemek oversees various client service lines, demonstrating his prowess in financial reporting, transaction advisory and cash management, especially in the international real estate sector.

      His journey began prior to joining ASB Group in 2008, with a significant tenure as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG. During this time, he gained invaluable experience in their offices in Poland and New Zealand. Przemek’s extensive background in finance, accounting, and auditing, particularly with local subsidiaries of international corporations, underscores his deep understanding of the complexities in the real estate industry. As a senior member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Przemek brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.

    • Remco van de Kroft, Partner, OKW

      Remco is a name partner of the OKW law firm (in full: Olczak-Klimek van der Kroft Węgiełek kancelaria radców prawnych spółka partnerska). An important part of OKW’s practice is related to real estate. Among its clients are developers (both international and domestic) as well as investors.

      In 2004 Remco returned to Poland after a 9-year absence to become a board member of Apsys in Poland. As such he was part of the team that opened Manufaktura in Łódź. Before 2004, Remco worked as a lawyer in the Netherlands, the United States, France and Poland. In total Remco has been practicing law in Poland for more than 20 years.

      Remco’s work is characterised by a typically Dutch, holistic approach to legal issues, which also takes into account the tax and business implications of the suggested legal solutions. His strengths include good intuition and the ability to overcome (cultural) differences in negotiations. Remco is an active board member of the Netherlands Polish Chamber of Commerce and has been so for more than 12 years. He was chairman from 2017 – 2019.

    • Renata Osiecka MRICS, Managing Partner, AXI Immo

      Renata is a founder and Managing Partner in AXI IMMO Group, an advisory agency specializing in the commercial real estate market, in warehouse, land, office, and investment sectors. Renata has over 25 years of experience in real estate management, with expertise in logistics and industrial sectors and advising investors on real estate acquisition and disposal projects. She managed the department responsible for development projects in the CEE region and managed the real estate portfolio of one of the largest global warehouse developers. She is active in the international market, cooperating with European and global real estate organizations. Renata is a Past President of the European Chapter in SIOR. She also is an RICS member.

    • Richard Wilkinson, Chief Financial Officer, CTP

      Richard started his role as Group CFO for CTP in July 2018, which includes looking after the refinancing of CTP’s portfolio of over 4.5 million sqm of premium industrial property. Prior to joining CTP, Richard ran the CRE business of Erste Group across CEE for 14 years, turning it into one of the leading CRE banking franchises. He has a Law degree from the London School of Economics.

    • Robert Neale FRICS, Chief Executive Officer, Portland Trust

      Robert has worked in the commercial real estate industry since 1982 based in cities including London, Brussels and currently Prague and Bucharest since 1991.

      After an agency background with Healey & Baker in 1993 (now Cushman & Wakefield), he created the development and asset management company Portland Trust in 1998. Portland Trust has been in partnership with US property and fund management group Ares Management, L.P. (formerly AREA Property Partners) since 1999. Ares currently has assets under management of over $160 billion and provides equity capital jointly with Portland Trust to purchase development projects, under-managed assets with refurbishment potential and undercapitalised companies in central and eastern Europe. Together, Ares and Portland Trust have developed or refurbished over 800,000 m2 of commercial space in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania.

      Better known projects include Metropole Zlicin (one of the first major malls in Prague), Bucharest Business Park (the first A-class business park in Bucharest), Floreasca Park (which in 2014 won the CEEQA Office Development of the Year and the CEEQA RealGreen Building of the Year, CEEQA Green Leadership Award and CIJ Investment transaction of the year in 2015), Oregon Park (which won the CEEQA Overall Building of the Year SEE in 2018) and more recently the new ING Bank HQ, EXPO Business Park in Bucharest.

    • Seweryna Afanasjew MRICS, Chair of the RICS Advisory Board Poland, RICS

      Ex-member of the RICS Europe World Regional Board, A licensed real estate manager and broker, Seweryna has 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, including offices, shopping centres and warehouses. An expert in corporate real estate and strategic facilities management in large international organizations, Seweryna started her outstanding career in 1999 at Cushman & Wakefield, followed by over 7 years as Real Estate Management Head in Citi Group. Later, Seweryna served as Asset Management Head at several real estate funds and helped build the commercial real estate portfolio of ARKA and Octava Property Trust while leading their asset management and leasing team. From 2017 Seweryna managed the strategic FM area at Liberty Global as CEE Real Estate Facilities Fleet & Energy Head with 1000 lease agreements and 300,000 sqm of leased space at her disposal. Afterwards she was leading Asset Management team for GTC Poland office portfolio focused on ESG strategy build up and implementation into all aspects of operational space management. This experience contributed to Seweryna becoming the founder and co-owner of 4 FM, a proptech company, which specializes in creating platforms for strategic facilities management sourcing. Today she is Head for Poland Workcloud24 operations – one stop shop for ESG consulting services and partner with OZEOS providing strategic advise in renewable energy procurement services.

    • Sonja Wertitsch, Managing Director Real Estate Development CEE, STRABAG

      Sonja is responsible manager for the CEE and SEE development activities of STRABAG real estate since 2017, which focuses on successful and sustainable development of commercial, residential and hospitality assets in the major capitals. Prior to that she acts 11 years as local responsible commercial manager for the STRABAG Group in the areas of Sweden and Serbia in different branches, incl real estate development. She has a master’s degree in architecture from Technical University Vienna and master’s degree in economics from University of Applied Science Vienna.

    • Stuart Jordan, CEO CEE, Savills

      After graduating from Nottingham Trent University, with an honours degree in Real Estate Management, he spent time in general practice in the UK before moving to  Prague in 2006. After spending time working in investment acquisitions and asset management, he joined JLL as Head of Capital Markets Czech Republic, later CEE.
      During 2017, alongside Ben Maudling, Stuart set up the new Savills Czech Republic operation, and as Managing Director has successfully developed the business to cover all commercial property sectors and business lines. In August 2023, Stuart was named CEO for Central & Easter Europe to lead Savills wholly owned offices in the Czech Republic and Poland and coordinate cross border activity with Savills associate offices in Austria, Hungary, Romania, and Serbia.

    • Troy Javaher, Managing Director Europe, Lincoln Property Company

      Troy is responsible for the European/UK operations of Lincoln. The company was founded in Dallas in 1965 and is one of the largest full-service real estate companies in the United States. Lincoln has developed more than 18 million square meters of commercial projects and 220,000 multi-family residential units. Lincoln has also acquired more than $35 billion of assets since 1990’s. Lincoln Europe was relaunched April 2016 and currently has offices in Prague, Warsaw and London, with over €1.4 billion under development.

      An American national, Troy Javaher has a Masters in Real Estate from Columbia University in New York.

What happens when?

There are four principle steps in the judging process:

  • 31 January Jury Nominations The jury is selected according to geographical and segmental coverage on a rotation basis among senior representatives of market leader companies, who are asked to provide their nominations for potential candidates as a condition of their participation. The nominated candidates are then checked by the CEEQA Team for validity before being invited to submit entry forms.
  • 22 March Judging first round Once all award entries have been received by nominated candidates, jury members will be invited to view them for the first, online, judging round and score then according to the guidelines and criteria provided. The results from this voting round decide the eventual short list in each category.
  • 9 April Short list announced Once all award entries have been received by nominated candidates, jury members will be invited to view them for the first, online, judging round and score then according to the guidelines and criteria provided. The results from this voting round decide the eventual short list in each category.
  • 14 May Final judging round – the CEEQA Jury Dinner On the eve of the CEEQA Gala  the year’s jury members convene for a private dinner, the sector’s most senior level networking gathering, to decide the winners in each category from the short listed candidates.
  • 15 May  CEEQA Gala dinner & award presentations The sector’s most anticipated flagship annual gathering and showcase event needs no introduction.
