    • Brian Burgess, Managing Director Central & Eastern Europe, Savills

      Brian was responsible for establishing the Savills office in Poland in 2004 and in 2014 was appointed to expand the business across the CEE region. In addition to managing the business he is is active securing new clients for Savills in Poland as well as liaising with exiting worldwide clients, either directly or via the international network of the firm, having also personally lead the investment department until October 2010. He was involved in some of the earliest transactions in Warsaw including Wisniowy Business Park A and Renaissance Tower. Brian was previously engaged in consulting, including appointments with DTZ and EC Harris, and was Managing Director of CB Richard Ellis Polska (1996-2001) where he was responsible for setting up operations and growing the business of the company.
      Brian is a fellow of RICS, having served on the board of RICS Europe as Vice Chairman and Acting Chairman (2003-2004) and as Chairman of the Polish Association of Chartered Surveyors (now RICS Polska). He is British and a fluent Polish speaker.

    • Charles Taylor MRICS, Advisor to the Board & Shareholder, Bracken Consulting

      Charles moved to Central Europe in 1998, residing initially in Budapest and then Warsaw. He is regarded as one of the region’s leading commercial real estate experts. As Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield in both Hungary and Poland, Charles was responsible for the substantial growth and financial success of these businesses including the successful merger of DTZ and C&W in Poland, creating a market leading real estate consultancy, employing over 440 people.

      Charles has been instrumental in developing the region’s investment markets since the first institutional capital was deployed back in the early 2000’s. Transacting in the core markets of CE plus Croatia and across all commercial sectors, he has worked with a broad spectrum of clients including DWS, Union Investment, Skanska, Ghelamco, Heitman, Invesco, CBRE IM, Griffin Capital Partners and Credit Suisse. He advised Wing on the successful acquisition of a majority stake in the leading Polish developer Echo Investment and Charles remains a key advocate for the region’s continued success, especially Poland.

      Recently, Charles has been advisor to the Board and Shareholder of iO Partners – a JLL Preferred Partner, with 250 people and offices in Czech, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Serbia. Through Bracken Consulting Ltd, Charles continues to work with select investors targeting Poland.

    • Colin Waddell, Managing Director Poland, CBRE

      Colin Waddell has been working for CBRE in CEE for over 12 years. Over the last six years Colin has been integral in setting-up and expanding CBRE’s platform in the region which has meant that CBRE now operate as a full-service entity in CEE. Colin’s geographical experience covers all of the principal regional markets and his professional career involves a range of investment consultancy, brokerage and valuation work (including development consultancy) over all sectors of the property industry, up and above his management duties. Before entering the Central & Eastern European market, prior to CBRE, Colin worked for King Sturge in Edinburgh and London for four years.

      Colin graduated from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh with an honours degree in Estate Management and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

    • Hadley Dean, Founder, MDC²

      Hadley has been successfully operating in Poland for over 20 years where he is recognised for growing businesses and consistently outperforming the market place.

      Before establishing MDC² he used to hold the role of the founding CEO of EPP – the largest owner of shopping centres in Poland (EUR 2.6bn of GAV). Prior to EPP he was a Managing Partner for Eastern Europe for Colliers International where he built the best logistics and industrial space agency business in Central and Eastern Europe.

      In 2021 Hadley was the recipient of the prestigious CEEQA Lifetime Achievement in Real Estate award.

    • Horatiu Florescu, Chairman & CEO Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Knight Frank

      Highly specialized in office agency and client representation services, Horatiu has a wide breadth of property experience, gained in his 20 years’ career by advising the main developers as well as the most prominent multinational companies operating in Romania.

      Named ‘Most Successful Broker’ on Romania’s market, several times, Horatiu is reputed for his cutting edge and professional consultancy services to tenants, developers and investors alike.

      Widely acknowledged for his pre-lease expertise, Horatiu has been involved in the largest real estate office projects, having leased over 1 mil. Sq M office space.

    • Jason Sharman, Managing Partner, BSC Real Estate Advisors

      Jason is both the Managing Partner of BSC Real Estate Advisors, overseeing the operational running of the business, as well as the Partner responsible for Office, Industrial and Capital Markets advisory. Jason started his career in London where he trained as a Chartered Surveyor and since 1998 has been working on real estate transactions in Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Poland.

    • Jos Tromp, Head of CEE Research & Consulting, CBRE

      As Head of Research & Consulting for CBRE in CEE and Africa, Jos is responsible for CBRE’s research in Central, Southeastern, Eastern Europe, Turkey and Northern and sub-Saharan Africa. With a total of over 30 researchers in 15 countries across the CEE region, and a center of excellence in Johannesburg working closely together with in-country specialists in a number of African countries, CBRE is able to provide a high quality advice on a broad range of topics in the most quickly emerging parts of EMEA.

      Jos’s role is to deliver a best-in-class research platform for and across CEE & Africa and support the company’s business needs in a broad range of fields. He is a regular speaker at real estate conferences. Jos is also a member of the CEE board of directors at CBRE.

    • Joseph Borowski, Managing Director Poland, Knight Frank

      Joseph has been active on the Polish commercial property market for some 20 years.  His experience includes development finance raising, leasing and investment sales in the office sector throughout Poland’s major cities.  He has also advised some of Poland’s largest banks on corporate portfolio restructuring.

    • Andrew Jackson, Managing Director CEE, First Title

      As Managing Director for the CEE region Andrew is responsible for developing and managing First Title Insurance plc’s CEE/SEE business. In this capacity he is responsible for the company’s strategic direction and comprehensive business strategy as well as understanding the region’s markets and risks. He works extensively with the senior management of national and international property investment/development companies and their financing lenders.

      Andrew is a pioneer of title insurance in CEE/SEE and has helped First Title be a risk participant in nearly €5.4 billion worth of commercial property transactions. Andrew has worked for 10 years with First Title in the CEE/SEE market which has resulted in providing extensive knowledge of the region’s real estate market including the title risks in the various countries, solutions to protect against those risks and an in-depth understanding of the real estate industry. With his profound knowledge of risks and the property market, Andrew successfully leads the CEE/SEE office in coordinating with clients and First Title’s skilled underwriters in structuring bespoke and off-the-shelf title insurance solutions for leading lenders, property developers and investors. In a risk adverse market, First Title’s expertise and specialist policies can make a difference.

      Andrew studied Business at the University of Hertfordshire (UK) and holds a diploma in Finance and Insurance.

    • Daniel Harris, Managing Director Central & Eastern Europe, Tristan Capital Partners

      Daniel Harris joined Tristan after successfully working with the EPISO Fund investment team at AEW Europe since 2010. Previously he spent five years with MGPA where he was Head of CEE. His responsibilities included acquisitions in the region, which amounted to over €1.5 billion over the five-year period, and the management of the Warsaw office which he established in 2008. Additionally he undertook pan-European transactions and established a logistics joint venture in France. Prior to working at MGPA, he spent three years at Heitman working on both Central European and Western European transactions.

      Daniel was awarded Professional of the Year at the CEE Retail Awards in February 2010.

    • David Hay, Chief Executive Officer, AFI Europe

      David has over 20 years of experience in international real estate development and management in Europe, the US and Africa. He joined AFI Europe in March 2006 as business development manager. In January 2009 David was appointed as CEO of AFI Europe Czech Republic and as AFI Europe NV Regional Director for the CEE in charge of the company’s operations in the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Hungary and Latvia. In January 2011 he was appointed as CEO of AFI Europe Romania.

      David previously served as the General Manager of Victoria Garden City, a 2000 private Luxurious residential units development in Lagos, Nigeria and as Vice President of Hail Holdings, a publicly quoted real estate development and management company which was traded on the TLV stock exchange. David graduated from Buckingham University in the UK with an LLM.

    • Karl Wilson, Head of the UK & CEE, Aareal Bank AG

      Karl Wilson is the Head of the UK & Central Europe for Aareal Bank. Karl set up the Polish operations in 2000 and took over responsibility for the UK in 2021. Prior to this Karl worked in Real Estate Banking in Germany and the UK, as well as for one of the Big 4 consultancies in their Real Estate Corporate Finance Department in Central Europe. He has a degree in Estate Management from Trinity College Dublin Ireland.

    • Magdalena Szulc, Business Unit Director Central Europe, SEGRO

      Magdalena has been with SEGRO since the start of the company’s operations in Poland in 2006. In 2009 she was promoted to the position of Business Unit Director Central Europe. She is responsible for managing the operations in the region and implementing the company strategy based on the development and extension of logistics and industrial real estate portfolio in key locations.

      Magdalena has over 15 years of experience in the real estate sector, endorsed by the RICS certificate. Before joining SEGRO she worked as Turn Key Coordinator in Siemens and as Project Manager in Grontmij Real Estates. She graduated from Poznan University of Technology, where she finished her studies in the Construction and Business Management. Afterwards she completed the program of the postgraduate studies at Poznan University of Economics: Valuation of Real Estates and Brokerage.

      During her leisure time Magdalena practices jogging, skiing and sailing. She is also interested in modern design.

    • Marek Koziarek, Managing Director Commercial Real Estate Finance, Bank Pekao

      In banking since 1990, Marek currently works for Bank Pekao SA (UniCredit Group) as Managing Director in the company’s Structured Finance and Commercial Real Estate Department. He previously held roles at BISE Bank (1998) and HVB Mortgage Bank (2002) as Credit Department Deputy Director and Director and in 1999 he was head of the USAID Training Program on real estate and housing finance for the Association of Polish Banks. From 2002-2007 at Bank BPH SA he held the roles of Credit Analysis Department Director and latterly as Managing Director of the Commercial Real Estate Area. Marek holds an MBA and is a graduate of the Warsaw University.

    • Mieczysław Godzisz, Managing Director Poland, Hines

      Since joining Hines in 1997 MieczysÅ‚aw has worked to effectively position Hines in Poland’s real estate market. He played a key role during the development process of Metropolitan project, an award winning 37,000 sqm office development in Warsaw designed by Norman Foster, and has been instrumental in securing several new residential and office projects in Warsaw, Gdansk, Lodz and Krakow for Hines-managed funds. He has led or participated in more than 4000,000 sqm of usable space completed or under construction and also played a leading role during the logistics assets acquisition for Hines Global REIT investment fund expanding the firm’s industrial portfolio by 220.000 sqm across four cities.

      Since joining Hines in 1997 Mieczysław has built a team of more than 40 people in four offices in Poland with planned expansion to other Polish cities. Prior to his career at Hines he was a business adviser at Arthur Andersen (1992-1997). He has an MA degree in Arabic Language and Culture from the Uniwersytet Jagiellonski, Krakow (1992) and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago (2001).

    • Nicklas Lindberg, President, Skanska Commercial Development Europe

      Nicklas has been the President of Skanska Commercial Development Europe since 2011. He is responsible for the company’s operations in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania. Nicklas is highly experienced in transactions of acquiring land, project development, leasing and property divestment. He is also a green pioneer who introduced sustainability standards to the office markets in the CEE region. Nicklas joined Skanska in 2001 in Sweden. During the years he has been working at top managerial positions as President of Skanska Property Poland, Skanska Residential Development Poland and Skanska Russia. He holds an MBA degree in management of Lunds Universitet.

    • Walter Hampel, Managing Director, Head of Origination CEE, Austria & Switzerland, pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank

      Walter is a Managing Director for Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG and is based in Munich, dealing with clients active in the CEE Markets as well as responsibility for Switzerland and Austria. Walter has been active in the CEE property markets for more than twelve years, including seven years based in Prague between 1995 and 2001 as a real estate lender for Austrian and German banks.

    • Yannis Delikanakis, Partner, Bluehouse Capital

      Yannis is a founding Partner of private equity investment management firm Bluehouse Capital with a focus on real estate investments in Emerging Europe.  He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate from Harvard University, holding a MSc in Project Management from the University of Texas at Austin.
