      Sven is founder and Chairman of Von der Heyden Group (VDHG) and has successfully undertaken some of the most challenging and painstaking real estate development projects. Since 1989 VDHG has completed a real estate investment programme valued at well over 300 million EUR including numerous landmark buildings and groundbreaking transactions. He worked as a commercial banker and institutional bond dealer in Munich and London before setting up his own investment consulting company in 1989 advising high net worth individuals in Germany. In 1990, he established the Iberia Motor Company with two partners as exclusive importer for SEAT, and in 1991 has been active as a property developer in Poland, Germany and Spain.

      Since 2001 Sven has also been directly involved with hotel operator IBB Hotel Collection in which VDHG holds a majority shareholding. Sven von der Heyden and VDHG have received numerous awards including prestigious “Building of the Year” Awards and personal awards for “Preservation of historical buildings” from the Minister of Culture and “Personality of the Year 2002” from Construction Journal readers. In 2014 VDHG successfully leased to prestigious Tenants its Andersia Business Centre in Poznan, where a selective approach with respect to the quality of its tenants and meticulous strategy was followed in a disciplined way. Andersia Business Centre was sold in July 2015 to Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A.

      Currently VDHG is developing a 155 million Euro Hotel and Office scheme in Munich, a flagship development in the hometown of the founder of VDHG. In the beginning of 2016 VDHG will start construction works of “Dlugi Targ” 90 Room hotel project in the heart of Gdansk Old Town and prepare the development of the 4th and last phase on Plac Andersa in Poznan.
