Lifetime Achievement in Real Estate
CTP’s Remon Vos earns 2025 CEEQA award for Lifetime Achievement in Real Estate
Remon Vos, creator and leader of CTP, one of Europe’s dominant industrial and logistics developers, will attend the CEEQA Gala in Warsaw on 21 May to accept the CEE & SEE property sector’s most prestigious industry recognition, the CEEQA award for Lifetime Achievement in Real Estate.
The award is presented each year to an individual company leader whose achievements have made an influential, transformative and durable contribution to the sector’s emergence and growth since its engagement with the private capital markets following the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Like many successful real estate developers in the CEE markets, Remon Vos was initially drawn to the region by the opportunities emerging in Czechoslovakia in the mid-1990s, while working in the manufacturing sector. He quickly discovered a shortage of modern storage facilities to meet his company’s needs, so he decided to build one himself.
Thirty years on, CTP has grown into a dominant warehouse and logistics developer and investor in Europe with more than 13 million sqm under management across multiple markets in CEE and western Europe, and a market capitalization of €7.24 billion. The company is active in 10 markets, employing nearly 900 people across CEE and western Europe, is a market leader in six countries, and has ambitious goals that include reaching €1 billion in rental income by 2027, expanding to 30 million sqm of leasable area by 2030.
We are therefore honoured and proud to welcome Remon to the 2025 edition of CEEQA Gala to recognise his market-defining business achievements, and to present him with this year’s CEEQA award for Lifetime Achievement in Real Estate. He joins a pantheon of sector heroes engaged in building the future of the region since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Small beginnings
Remon’s entrepreneurial journey began in Polna, Czech Republic, where his hands-on approach to solving a real estate gap laid the foundation for CTP. In 1998, he co-founded the company with a vision to develop high-quality, full-service business parks beyond Prague. CTP’s first project, CTPark Humpolec, remains fully occupied today.
Behind the establishment and early growth of the business was Remon’s understanding that other foreign companies and entrepreneurs attracted to the emerging Czech and central Europe market place for the same reasons as himself – excellent logistical location and a highly educated labour force with a strong European work ethic – would face the same challenges.
His build-to-own strategy, centered on long-term client relationships, proved highly effective. With two-thirds of new leases coming from existing clients, CTP has grown organically and through strategic acquisitions—most notably expanding into Poland and Germany in 2022.
Designs on the future
Looking forward, Remon sees that the CEE markets remain undersupplied in terms of modern I&L space, with 1.2 sqm/capita in western markets compared to 0.6 sqm per capita in the CEE. This means there is much room to grow the business further in CEE. Combined with the nearshoring trend as well as increasing consumer spending across CEE, and higher GDP growth rates vis-a-vis Western Europe, CTP continues to see CEE as a business-smart region for international companies pursuing growth in Europe.
Today, with Europe looking at increasing its defence budgets and the potential impact of trade wars, companies will be looking to beef up their European footprint to create more resiliency against the macro headwinds. These trends create opportunities for CTP to further expand its service and property portfolio.
The future continues to look bright for the company Remon Vos built.
Congratulations Remon.
