Monika Zamachowska
10 years and counting
As CEEQA reaches its own 15th anniversary there will also be another milestone to celebrate as perennial anchor, popular Polish broadcaster Monika Zamachowska, leads the award presentations at this year’s CEEQA Gala.
Monika has been leading the line for precisely a decade, greatly contributing to institutionalizing the importance of the event for the real estate sector and making herself a loved and admired fixture, some would say the face of the sector.
Monika has hosted CEEQA, from Cannes to Warsaw, including the Gala, Jury Dinners and numerous Insight Summits, since 2009, when the Gala itself was still small enough to be hosted at the Warsaw Hilton hotel where Werner Otto received his Lifetime Achievement Award, Marynarska Business Park won the Office Development of the Year Award, and Bananarama was the Gala’s headliner for the first time (later, in 2013, they were invited to perform again, by popular demand, for the event’s 10th anniversary).Over the years Monika’s influence has been felt in the backroom as well as front of house, helping to professionalise CEEQA with her unique personal charm combined with immense professional experience, during which time she has become a reliable and appreciated fixture for the sector. With high-calibre events, it’s important both to keep some of the most valuable assets as well as to mix things up to keep it fresh.
“Monika’s presence and professionalism has been one of our greatest assets over the decade she’s been presenting CEEQA, helping to transform the Gala from a decent regional level event to an event of genuine European and global market stature,” said Richard Hallward, founding director of CEEQA.
A journalist and a TV show-host working for Polish Public TV (TVP), Monika currently hosts a three-hour live morning show on Channel 2. In the past she hosted one of the most popular talk-shows in the history of Public TV entitled “Free Europe” which ran for almost six years with a weekly viewership of six million people. She is fluent in English and Spanish and conducts media-training courses in both these languages.
