John Kraus

John is Head of Sustainable Urbanisation at RICS. In this capacity, he leads RICS’ international  research and sustainability programmes and plays a leading role in developing the World Built Environment Forum, including as host of the Forum’s webinar series.  John serves on the Climate Change Expert Panel of the UK Construction Industry Council (CIC), which aims to spread best practice across the built environment professions, and the Coalition for Energy Efficient Buildings (CEEB), which is working to pilot financial tools to accelerate retrofits of residential properties. He has contributed to reports for the World Economic Forum, International Finance Corporation and the Green Finance Initiative. Prior to joining RICS, John served as a senior UK diplomat, completing substantive postings to several European capitals, with a focus on multilateral issues including climate change.
